Help Sean & Mary to Complete Converting a WW2 Water Tower

My Husband Sean and I (Mary) embarked on a journey many years ago to convert an old WW2 water tower that served a military hospital during the war and an RAF hospital between 1947-1983. Many years to purchase it and so far nearly 6yrs from purchase to convert it into our family home. We will be featured on Derelict Rescue season 2 Episode 6 on Monday 11th November 2024 (and no, we do not get any money for that).

We are nearing the end of a very expensive journey and funds are running low. We have been as tight as we can with the finances, sourcing many items needed from Facebook Marketplace, negotiating lower prices on materials. Most of the materials have been purchased but we still have the staircase to purchase (£10k), final payment for the windows, sprinkler system, the odd bits here and there and much to pay out in labour. The garage and solar panels will have to wait until we receive the VAT back after completion.

We have borrowed what we can, both my husband and I work and I also project manage and do all the decorating myself to save money. Due to health reasons Sean cannot be as hands on with the project as he was at the beginning of the build.

To help towards the shortfall of the finances we are appealing to the goodwill of all those who see this page to make a donation to help us complete our home. The future of Seans employment has been brought into question by his employer which has come as a big surprise. We have raised the fundraising target so we can push hard to the finish line. Finishing this build will be one big stress gone and our focus can then be the fight to save his livelihood!!
