Help a Composter Beat a Brain Tumor

Donation protected
Earlier this year one of our composters here at Rust Belt Riders was diagnosed with brain cancer. We are raising funds to support him as he navigates this cancer diagnosis. He is dedicated to showing what community looks like, through what he shares as an author, mutual aid in community organizing, and his work as a composter. He's always reminding us of how important it is to take care of each other by being a supportive friend and caring comrade.

He shows us what it means to take care of each other - help us celebrate community resiliency as we band together to take care of him.

Our composter is currently applying for Medicaid to be able to afford treatment. Unfortunately, Medicaid requires people to stay around the poverty line in order to receive assistance and fundraisers can cause people to lose Medicaid. If he ends up qualifying, we will share this fundraiser with other people in our community also facing serious health problems, potentially setting up a community support fund. This way, he won't go over his mandated income limit for Medicaid, and other people can also get the resources they need. In that event, we will update this page to let you know. Thank you for the support and understanding!
