Compression Binder Fund

Hello!

My goal is to provide transgender individuals living in Manitoba with safe, free compression binders.

The money raised from this fundraiser will go towards buying the materials (fabrics, threads, etc.) needed to make compression binders. All binders will be donated to the Trans Health Klinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba!

Good-quality compression binders are expensive, which makes them inaccessible for lower-income trans individuals and youth. This may force transgender individuals to use unsafe binding techniques, which can be dangerous. Access to gender-affirming pieces is proven to improve the mental health and lessen the risk of suicide among these individuals. Moreover, access to safe pieces and knowledge of safe binding practices protects one’s physical well-being as well.
