Compton Teams going to Regionals

Thank you all so much for helping to launch Compton Robotics Club with all of your generous donations and support. When we began two years ago, we planned on having one class filled with about 15 kids, just showing them the general ropes of robotics. Now, two years later, we have 100 students from 15 different Compton elementary and middle schools competing for recognition in the international program FIRST Lego League.  This current season, out of our 14 competing teams, two have earned Core Values Awards, two have earned Judges awards for innovation and teamwork, one has earned a Robot Design award, and three teams are advancing to Regional Championships and potentially World Championships! Not only that, but we will have six more schools starting in the spring. Thank you all for helping us prove that with the right exposure and support, underrepresented and underserved students can compete at the same level as anyone else. This accelerated growth is a direct result of countless hours of dedication from the students, coaches, principals, and administrative staff of Compton Unified, as well as our valuable volunteers, mentors and sponsors.

Now we are hoping you can help us take our program to the next level. Already Compton is making a name for itself in the world of competitive robotics, and we believe they have the potential to go all the way. However, competing at a higher level involves more expansion kits, teacher hours, game tables, travel expenses, and team gear. With your continued support, we have no doubt that Compton students will redefine the technology landscape of future, but we need your help!
