Concepcion's kidney stone removal

Hello friends,

My name is Kat, and I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend's mother Concepcion. Along with a couple of other health complications, she has been suffering from painful kidney stones for months.

On February 20, Concepcion woke up unable to breathe and was rushed to the hospital. After being treated, the doctor told her that she had a cyst in one of her lungs. She also had a lump on her neck that is still undiagnosed, but the doctor warned that it may be lymphoma. She returned home after a few days and scheduled a consultation with her doctor.

On March 6, Concepcion had a consultation with her doctor and learned that she must have her kidney stones removed via lithotripsy within the next 2 weeks. The procedure would cost about $6000. The family is doing their best to get the funds, but most of their savings have been used up from past visits and a surgical procedure.

The family is in a tough financial situation, and I wanted to try starting a GoFundMe campaign to help. Concepcion has been nothing but a gem to those around her, happy to make tamales and other authentic Mexican dishes for her community. She had never complained despite the pain she had gone through, and she truly deserves all the love.
