Concetta Ruggeri Grosso - FuneralMedical Expenses

Donation protected
On November 20, 2020 the world lost one of its brightest lights in the form of Concetta Ruggeri Grosso at the age of 73.

Concetta, or as her friends and family called her, Concettina, was victim to the global pandemic and contracted COVID-19 in mid October. Her daughter, Lucia, had done everything possible to keep her mom safe such as keeping her home when doing grocery shopping and running any and all errands that needed to be done so Concettina was not at risk. While fending off bronchitis herself, tending to her two youngest daughters that had also contracted the virus, Lucia aided her sick mother as well. Concettina was diabetic and due to the virus had a high spike in her blood sugars which forced her to be admitted to Doylestown Hospital.

For over a week, the hospital attempted to help Concettina as best they could with assistances to her breathing, a blood transfusion and additional medicines. After a week and 1/2 in the hospital, her breathing fell too shallow on it's own and she was put on a ventilator. It was heartbreaking for the family before to have to speak to Concettina via FaceTime but now their beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt would be sedated for her own comfort leaving them without the opportunity to provide any sort of support since they were unable to physically be by her side due to COVID restrictions.

After fighting for three and 1/2 weeks, Concettina was put on hospice Thursday morning, allowing her family to come say good-bye, and passed away shortly after with her daughter, Lucia, granddaughters, Gabriella and Sierra, and grandson-in-law, Blake, by her side with her niece, Melissa, supporting via Zoom.

This time has been an emotional roller coaster for Concettina's family to say the least and the financial burden of honoring her memory is an additional burden no family should have to bear.

When immigrating to the United States in 1968, Concettina started working in a men’s suits factory prior to getting married and having her daughter, Lucia. From the age of 4 on, Lucia and Concettina were inseparable as Concettina raised her as a single mother. What she couldn’t provide in material things, Concettina gave ten fold in love. For anyone that knows Concettina and Lucy know that where you saw Lucy, you were bound to see Concettina and vice versa. The love that Concettina had for her daughter and her granddaughters was radiating. As well as the love she had for her siblings, nieces, nephews, fiancé and countless family and friends.

Lucy is disabled, divorced mother of three; with limited resources. Please consider donating to help her cope and survive with the expenses to properly honor her mother’s life, so she may be remembered as the loving, selfless woman she was.

Donations will directly go towards funeral, medical and home expenses as they navigate through this over whelming heartache and indescribable loss.

If you are unable to contribute financially please share and continue to pray for the family to help during their time of grief.
