Conduit Mission, Operation Freedom

Will you please join me in making a difference? I finished cycling 490 miles in the Ragbrai, (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa®) to raise money to benefit Conduit Mission, Operation Freedom. Through this partnership with local pastors in Southeast Asia, we are able to secure freedom for families enslaved to work off their debt in brick kilns.

The vast majority are in slavery because they simply needed healthcare and had to borrow money for the procedure. The initial loans are usually a few hundred dollars but with the additional fines, interest, penalties, and other unethical charges, it is financially impossible for them to ever pay the debt. The debt is passed down to their children, enslaving generations of families in the brick kilns.

My goal was to raise $2,500 to free at least one family. The challenge of cycling for 7 days is nothing compared to the hard labor these families have endured their entire lives. Please help me break the cycle of slavery for a family through cycling across Iowa.
