I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share some devastating news. Recently, our beloved local candy store, Confections for Any Occasion, experienced a destructive fire that has left our community in shock.

I've had the privilege of working alongside Joel, the heart and soul of Confections, for about a year now. His passion for creating delightful treats and his unwavering dedication to our small town of Theresa have made Confections not just a store, but a cherished gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

The fire has not only damaged the store but has also left Joel and his employees without their livelihoods until we hear back from insurance and the necessary remodeling is completed.

What makes Confections truly unique is Joel himself. Despite being blind, Joel is a chocolatier whose creations have delighted countless customers over the years. His resilience and creativity inspire us all, and we are determined to help him rebuild Confections so he can continue to share his talent with the world.

Just before the fire, Joel was telling me about his dream of purchasing a new braille computer, which would cost around $6,000. It would greatly enhance his ability to manage orders and interact with customers. Sadly, this dream will now be on hold due to the fire.
