Connect to Educate: Empower Kakuma's Learners
Donation protected
Dear BGA Community and Friends,
We at Brave Generation Academy are on a mission to enhance educational opportunities for Learners at Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, home to over 200,000 refugees and asylum seekers.
Our donations are focused on a classroom led by Abedi Japahet, an inspiring teacher who, despite overwhelming challenges, is nurturing the minds of over 150 students with insufficient resources.
Abedi, who is part of our BGA family through our initiative to provide employment opportunities, has recently started working within our academic department. He is also spearheading initiatives aimed at increasing employment opportunities for his students. However, the reality in his classroom at Kakuma starkly contrasts with his aspirations – he faces daily challenges revolving around inadequate facilities, and students who confront each day without the simplest necessities for learning.
To empower his students to gain the most from their education, Abedi has put together a comprehensive list of essentials, a wish list for the bare necessities many of us take for granted. From uniforms, which serve as a critical symbol of identity and belonging within the classroom, to basic educational materials for the coming two years such as books, computers, and a printer – these items are the bridge with which these students can open the door to a better future.
Your generosity is the key to this opportunity. Your contribution will directly fund these resources, empowering over 150 eager learners to receive the education they deserve, uninterrupted by the scarcities that overshadow their potential.
Though your contribution, we can turn Abedi's dream into a reality and uplift an entire community through the power of education.
