Pasadena Tx Police Angels

Being a police officer is hard. They put themselves in harm's way every day for little pay and little thanks. Most people hate them because media paints police officers in such a bad light. I will admit I was guilty of this until an angel in a uniform saved my life.
To make a very long story short, I want to share with you the main points as to why I am doing this.
I recently was dealing with some depression as a result of PTSD. Not just any kind of depression, I was so low I was ready to end my life. I am a business owner, a mother and a wife. I have a lot to live for but I was afraid of what I might do.
I drove myself to the police station and begged them to put me in jail to protect myself from myself. The police officer at the front desk was so kind. Not only did he refuse but he sat and talk to me. They took me to the VA hospital where I was able to get the help I needed.
A few days later my husband also had a moment of depression. He had to watch as his normally strong wife was crumbling under the weight of my past military experiences. It was so hard for him to see me in this a condition and not be able to help me.
But low and behold this same angel in uniform was back to save the day. How is it possible that out of all the police officers in this city the same man that saved me was there to save my husband. This is how I knew that God sent him to us.
We are now back healthy and strong thanks to this selfless and compassionate man. I brought him an Easter basket the week of Easter but doesn't seem like enough. Plus there are so many officers that deserve a special thanks. So after talking to the event cordenator for that Pasadena Police department, I believe a catered lunch would be a great way to say Thank you.
I am asking the community to come together and show these men and women who have decided to put their lives on the line every day to protect us. Who have families that could one day carry that folded flag home. Let's come together and show some love. Thier not all good but dont let the bad over shadow the good men and woman.
If you have any ideas of food or places please email me at [email redacted]. You may also contact the event corrdenator by call the Pasadena Police Department.
