Connie Moore family house fire fund
Donation protected
Many of you know Ms. Connie Moore from the community. She is a beloved Wiseman community member. Many of us remember her as the spunky, dedicated English teacher at ICC.
"Nothing but smoldering ashes" are what remain of the once attractive rock home where Connie Moore and her two daughters (Jeana & Gloria) live, and where her parents had lived before her. Connie was unaware that her home was on fire Friday, when a neighbor stopped and alerted her of the fire. She escaped the fire unharmed, but she was unable to retrieve anything from the burning fire, including her car keys and phone. Connie is dependent on oxygen and other medications, and they too were lost. Unfortunately, the family did not have insurance on the home or its contents. However, this community is known for its generosity and helping spirit when it comes to helping those who need help. Many know Connie and her daughters, especially since she taught in the ICC schools for many years. Jeana is currently a teacher at ICC, and Gloria works in Sharp County in radio communications. If there are any who feel compelled to help this family monetarily, a fund will be set up at FNBC in addition to this GoFundMe. Please consider giving back to someone who has given so much to this community and has made such an impact on so many students' lives.
If there are those who wish to donate furniture or other items, please contact me to see what items can be of use. Their housing situation is currently up in the air, so they are currently in a hotel until final arrangements can be made for Connie, Jeana, and Gloria. All contributions will go directly to Connie and her daughters.
