Connie Perna medical expenses

We have an urgent situation we can use YOUR help with please… Connie (Pratillo) Perna and her husband, Frank, rescued two 14 month old Rottweilers (a brother and sister) in early March 2017 after losing their two beloved elderly Rotties over the holidays. These two younger rescue dogs, with razor sharp teeth, MAULED Connie causing extensive, severe and ongoing injuries.
On Sunday, March 19th, 2017, Connie took the two dogs to her fenced in and snow covered backyard to play catch. Frank was inside and didn’t know Connie was out.
In the backyard, Connie had her back to the dogs and was picking up a stick. And BOOM!!! The male dog took her down, knocked Connie’s eyeglasses into the snow, and began to attack Connie’s right side of her body. Then the female dog immediately joined in attacking Connie’s left side, both ripping and pulling on her ribs. The male dog was more aggressive and caused very severe and almost deadly damage -- he just missed her artery.
Both dogs were attempting to go for Connie’s face and throat, trying to kill her. Connie had her arms up to protect her face as both dogs mauled her arms and legs. The shock knocked Connie’s boots right off of her. Connie believed she was going to die in her back hard and had a chance to run and jump the fence. But as Connie was attempting to get over the fence, the male Rottweiler grabbed and attacked Connie by her back and side, causing internal injuries. Connie shed her coat and blouse while in the dog’s grip, ran around to the front of the house and started banging on her front door of her house.
Frank not knowing Connie was outside, opened the door and found his wife crying, bleeding, snow in her hair, without her glasses, without her blouse, jacket or shoes with parts of her muscles torn, bleeding and dangling from her arms.
Frank held Connie’s arm muscles back in place, wrapped her bloodied limbs in towels and dialed 911. Animal Control took the dogs away and Connie was rushed to Hartford Hospital where she spent four days in the trauma unit. She underwent hours of surgery and is presently still suffering from her severe injuries. She suffered horrific injuries to her arms, side, back, butt, legs and internal organs with over a hundred stitches. Nurses come to her home daily to change the dressings on her wounds.

Here is a message to all of you from Connie:
"Hello , my name is Connie Perna. Many of you know me, many have seen me and not remember or know my name and many have never met me or my husband , yet Each of You has touched our lives in many different ways. We are very fortunate and blessed to have family, friends ,friends of family and friends and many we've never met, to unite and come together to help us out during this time of need.
This THANK YOU comes with many overwh...elming emotions from both of us. Life has lessons for each of us to learn from. What I've learned from this lesson is, I am Loved by and cared for by a loving family that I am honored and grateful to be a part of. I've also learned that it's alright to let others help. Through All of You, whether you've heard my story, read my story, shared my story, told someone my story, brought food, had food delivered, visited, called, texted, prayed with me, prayed for me, held my hand, washed my hair, braided my hair, brought gifts and flowers, sent cards, cleaned up the outside backyard and inside the house before Frank came home that first 24+ hour night, dropping off groceries, taking time to listen to our story and giving us the time we needed to deal/ cope/understand/ adjust/grieve/ and support each other and learn how to heal mentally, physically and emotionally and move forward.
We are moving forward and Yes we will have another 4 legged companion soon.
If you took the time to read my story and now my thank you : PLEASE DO NOT LET WHAT HAPPENED TO ME DISSUADE YOU FROM ADOPTING /RESCUING A DOG IN NEED."
