Help Connie pay medical bills while hospitalized

Hi, I’m Kristen and I am fundraising to help my mom pay her medical bills while she fights to get well in the hospital.

My mom has endured many medical hardships since 2020. It began with undergoing spinal surgery followed by 6 months of recovery in hopes of getting relief from years of chronic pain. Sadly, the pain continued and her doctors continued to search for answers.

Earlier this year she was finally diagnosed with Paget’s Disease. Paget’s disease disrupts the replacement of old bone tissue with new bone tissue. Over time the bones become fragile and misshapen casing chronic pain in the pelvis, spine, skull and legs. There is no cure for Paget’s however patients can undergo Reclast infusion to help treat the abnormal bone growth in an attempt to slow the progression of the disease. After many more test she’s was cleared for her infusion and finally was hopeful that relief was coming.

Sadly, that relief has not come. She was admitted to the hospital Sunday, August 27 in excruciating pain. It has been discovered that the infusion has caused her to have an extremely serious case of Pancreatitis. And just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, today she tested positive for Covid. She is truly scared for her life and so am I. She is expected to remain in the hospital for at least another 3 weeks.

As you can imagine, all of this has amounted to thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills that continue to grow. The last thing I want her to worry about right now is making payments to these bills. She has been unemployed since the spinal surgery and has depleted her savings.
