Hello my name is Melissa Wollen. My sister Denise Wollen, whom just recovered from breast cancer, and myself are asking for help for our Mother Connie during her recovery rehabilitation.
She was taken to Huron Valley Hospital on 4/23/33 in Septic Shock from a cut that became infected with a short time to live. She was put on full life support for 8 days. On day 2 they said she wouldn't make it and should pull the plug...(NOT GODS PLAN!!).
With all the prayers and Jesus' Grace, we still have our Mother, a true living ❤️ Miracle! Thank you God!!! All of the hospital staff was AMAZED! She spent 18 days in hospital. On day 16, her last night in ICU, her nurse fractured moms hand ....grrrrr. On Friday day 18 we transferred her to Canterbury on the lake for rehabilitation. She was very weak and was to be fed by staff for a few days after rehab was started. She started rehab Monday and was placed in a lazy boy chair happy to enjoy the beautiful day, nature with a smile and grateful to be alive. Denise made sure she was fed and content then headed out to gather moms clothes for her next session and activities. 2 hours later she walked in to mom sprawled on bed partially hanging off with a breathing treatment on. Totally shocked, Denise snapped a picture, headed to nurses station where 3 staff members where sitting around chatting and asked what the happened. She was told by a nurse that she fed her 2 bites of pudding then placed it in her hand to feed herself and left. Denise told her she's was supposed to be fed by staff. Nurse said 15 minutes later mom was yelling help me help me and when they went in, she couldn't breathe so they gave her a breathing treatment. ONCE AGAIN, by no means of her own, she was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's Trinity Hospital for Aspiration and put on full life support again .
2 days later, "MAJOR MIRACLE NUMBER 2", she was removed off the ventilator and as of today, moved out of the CCU and started rehab. Staff said she's a strong woman and is going to be fine just needs the rehabilitation on her muscles. AGAIN, staff was amazed!!! "NOT TODAY SATAN!!"
Connie needs a portable oxygen machine so she can go to her Dr. Appointments, shopping, activities, ect...
Her insurance won't cover the one she needs that is small enough for her to be able to carry with her outside her home.
Along with that, she is in need of help to pay her property taxes that fell behind during this past 2 crazy months she was sick or she may loose her home which she has lived in for 52 years.
We know it is financially tough times for some but even 5 dollar donations will help. We have been with her almost night and day for a month at the hospitals and rehab but financially strapped to help with being away from our homes and not being able to work during this time
Our family appreciates every drop of everyone's prayers and support thru this ❤️ and Donations to relieve the stress for her final rehab recovery.
THANK YOU AND GOD ❤️ BLESS
