Cross Fit Games Semi Finals 2024 (French Throwdown)

I am a 20-year-old, Yorkshire based, Elite, CrossFit Athlete, who is at the beginning of my professional career. I have just qualified, as the youngest British Athlete, and only one of 6 British women to compete at the CrossFit Games Semi-Finals 2024, which are taking place at The French Throwdown, in Lyon, France on the 17th – 19th May 2024.

As a result, I am now looking for sponsorship to enable me to become a full-time athlete, focusing every day on improving my performance in the most competitive of sports.

To give some context, over 140,000 female athletes worldwide, took part in the CrossFit Open 2024, of which, the top 25% in each region across the world (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America East, North America West and South America) qualified for the Quarter Finals. Thereafter only the top 40 female athletes from each region are entitled to compete at the live Semi-Finals. I compete and have qualified in the European Region, which is by far the most competitive and most difficult region to qualify in – the standard and abilities of the athletes being the most exceptional.

As a result of my achievements on my road to this year’s Semis, I have also been admitted to the Talent Transfer Programme within British Weightlifting. This programme fosters and develops young athletes up to the age of 25, who show potential from across a range of different sports, CrossFit included, in Olympic Weightlifting. The aim of the programme is to create the next generation of Olympic athletes, ready to compete in Team GB in the next few years with a view to bringing home Olympic medals.
