Connor Martinson battle glioblastoma
Donation protected
My name is Karen Hensen. Connor Martinson is my nephew. At the end of July, Connor started complaining of bad headaches. Within a week he was told he had a brain tumor. Specifically a high grade glioblastoma. On Sunday July 31st and again on Monday August 1st he endured 2, 9 hour surgeries to remove the tumor. During the first surgery, the surgeon had to sacrifice a blood vessel that was going directly through the tumor. This caused him to be flaccid (unable to move) the entire left side. Connor remains in the ICU. He will need intense therapy when he gets out of the hospital and will likely need inpatient rehab. Beyond rehab, he will also require chemo and radiation. None of us ever dreamed a healthy, hard working young man would ever have to battle this nasty disease. We know he’s a tough young man with a lot of fight left. Please consider helping him, Diane, Gino and his brother Tyler with the long battle they will have ahead of them. Funds will be removed on an as needed basis by myself or his mother Diane to help with the tremendous cost of his chemo as well as the long term physical therapy that he will need to continue to build up his strength, with the ultimate goal of walking again.
