Stand With Connor Spence, ALU and ALU Caucus CO-Founder Illegally fired by Amazon
Connor Spence, an ALU and ALU Caucus co-founder was fired Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from Amazon’s JFK8 warehouse in NYC for violating Amazon’s illegal off duty access policy. In March of 2023, the NLRB ruled that Amazon’s off duty access policy was illegal, yet Amazon continues to indiscriminately apply this policy to union organizers.
Several weeks prior to this, Connor also led a walkout with the ALU Caucus to protest unfair wages.
Connor has dedicated the last three years of his life to fighting for unionization at Amazon at JFK8 and other warehouses across the country. Connor played an important role in the JFK8 union campaign victory, the formation of the ALU, served on the executive board as VP/Secretary Treasurer, played a lead role in the legal aspect filing charges for workers, court proceedings against Amazon, educating workers about their NLRA rights, and helping workers get their jobs back.
Connor was also suspended last year for engaging in a walkout when a fire broke out at JFK8. He has risked his job over and over again to fight for JFK8 workers and hold Amazon accountable for breaking labor law.
Amazon continues to violate federal labor law by unilaterally changing policies and terminating union supporters at JFK8.
This will not stop our organizing efforts, but Connor will need support paying his cost-of-living bills as labor charges are filed and this is fought to be overturned in court.
Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in this journey towards justice.
