Hi,
This is Conor Devery. Over the past 6 months, I have been researching volunteer opportunities that would enabe me to practice spanish, develop my leadership skills and help others that are less fortunate than me. I interviewed (partially in spanish!) and was accepted into Amigos de las Americas program, a volunteer program for youth focused in Latin America. As part of Amigos, I will be travelling this summer for 4 weeks to either the Dominican Republic or Costa Rica for a full cultural immersion program living with a local family and working with locals to raise awareness about the rights of children and environmental sustainability.
As part of Amigo's requirement, each participate is required to raise funds to help cover the cost of the overall program in each country. I personally need to raise $2,800. I am writing today because I really need your help and am asking for a tax-deductible donation to help support my group in our efforts this summer.
