Sanitary Pads for Girls to Attend School
Donation protected
Period poverty is one of the biggest health challenges in Africa. Girls are unable to attend school once they begin their menstrual cycle due to stigma and lack of infrastructure.
This lack of resources produces scary consequences for millions of African girls — impacting their education, health, and dignity.
When girls use makeshift alternatives, such as paper, old rags, leaves, and even dried cow dung, they risk falling ill with reproductive and urinary infections.
Every $20 you give allows 15 girls to have period protection for a year. Your donation will allow reusable washable pads to be distributed to girls that do not have the financial capability to maintain their bodily functions.
I have volunteered at the Rwenzori-Childcare Initiative and I wanted to create this account to allow people to make a difference in the community.
The mission is to be a leading childcare initiator in the area that creates social & economic welfare among the disabled and orphan children.
