Continue Norma's Legacy: Help Casa del Niño
Donation protected
Hi, I am Maria F. Brobst and I live Lees Summit, Missouri. In memory of my mother, Norma Dolores Rivera, who passed away last year and who generously donated to Casa del Niño Orphanage in Honduras throughout her life, I have started a GoFundMe to continue her legacy.
Casa del Niño is managed by the Sisters of the Order of Immaculate Conception, a Franciscan Order in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. They currently house more than 30 children, mostly girls, who have been orphaned due to adversity, violence, or abandonment, who have been abused or neglected or lived in poverty and who are currently at risk.
Thanks to the Sisters, these children are being housed, fed, protected, and are receiving an integral education. The building that houses them is in terrible disrepair and in dire need of renovations.
The sisters are asking for donations to pay for the much-needed repairs to the roof which presently leaks in some of the dormitories and other areas of the building and presents an environmental hazard to the health of the children.
I am hoping to collect $1,200 to donate to the Sisters. I am asking for your support and your compassion for these children. As our Lord Jesus has said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40)
Please be generous and thank you for your support!
