Continuing at Howard

Hello everyone! My name is Imeirah Page and I am currently in my second semster as a sophomore at Howard University as a Television/Film Production major. I have fallen upon many hard times in my life, but this is by far one of the hardest. It is difficult to ask for help, but I wouldn't be here if it weren't serious.
For almost every year of my life, I've been a high achiever. From being an honors student, to a student athelete, to a mentor for younger girls, I've always excelled at whatever I put my mind to. Even though I am in college, this trend still continues.
I currently have a 3.61 GPA. I'm a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, as well as various organizations on campus. Which may cause you to wonder, why haven't I received any scholarships. We're in the same boat because I don't know why either. I spend most of my spare time looking for ways to fund my education, yet nothing seems to give. I work at a student employment job that only allows me to work 20 hours per week. I also style hair as a side gig, all in attempts to make ends meet. Despite my efforts, it's still not enough.
As a first generation college student who comes from a single-parent home, I will be the first to tell you: Paying for college is hard. I have the maxiumum amount available for federal student loans, small state grants, and some need based grants, but even after all of that I still have to pay for my housing and meals.
I'm asking that if you have the money, to please donate whatever you can to this cause. I can promise you that it is an investment worth making. I want nothing more than to stay in school and graduate on time with honors. If you can find it in your heart to donate to this cause, I would be enternally grateful.
Thank you for your time and generosity.
