Continuing medical bills incurred in a Accident.

Hi my name is Jody Dorsey, on July 31 2022 while taking a walk with my Wife I was struck from behind by a speeding Bicyclist. The impact of the collision from the Bicyclist ripped a gaping hole in my lower right leg, the handle bars from his bike struck my lower spine throwing me forward where as I almost struck a tree. I was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Room at a local Hospital.

I received 45 stitches, 5 inside and 40 outside to hold the flap of skin that was detached from my leg. I also required a Tetanus shot and a prescription for aantibiotic and X-rays of lower leg. My leg was heavily bandaged and I was released from the Hospital after a few hours with directions to follow up with my Primary Care Physician in a weeks time to get the stitches removed . On August 8th and August 15 th 2022 I saw my Primary Care Doctor to get the stitches removed after examining my wound My Primary Care Physician on both occasions concluded that he could not remove the stitches and consulted with a Plastic Surgeon that was down the hall in the same medical facility.

The plastic surgeon concluded after examination that the wound wasn’t healing and that wound need to be debrided scraped and cleaned under a minor surgical procedure. This procedure was performed and a solution called Setanyl that they use on burn victims was applied to my wound .

My wound was heavily bandaged and I was given a script for 3 tubes of Setanyl that had to ordered from Albany NY . Those 3 tubes of Setanyl came at a price of $810

very expensive. I continued to see the Plastic Surgeon for 12 straight weeks so that he could keep an eye on the progress and the healing of the wound. I am still under the care of the Plastic Surgeon for my wound and also under the care of Pain Management for my continuous back pain .

I am all under the care of an Orthopedic Surgeon for my continuing ankle and Achilles pain .

The Funds will be used to pay present and continuous Medical Bills that are presently $6000 plus
