Continuing my education towards becoming a PA
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Anyone who knows me knows it is my dream to become a physician assistant. Growing up as a child with a chronic illness I’ve always known I wanted to one day work in the medical field and help others the same way I was helped. I have been working towards this goal, and most recently attending North Carolina State University for my masters in physiology to help increase my competitiveness for PA school admissions as it’s pretty cut throat. Unfortunately, my private student loan lender is no longer approving additional funding to me.
Everyone who knows me knows I’m so strong willed and determined to figure everything out on my own however, I acknowledge that this is beyond my control and that at this point I must turn to others for help if I want to continue my education; Even though this is the last thing I want to have to do.
Thankfully I was finally approved for instate tuition rates starting for summer, which dropped my bill significantly however, I will still carry around a $10,000 tuition bill for the summer sessions. I continue to work while being in this graduate program, admittedly too much probably, but with the average cost of a one bedroom apartment in Raleigh running over $1,300 a month I am barely scrapping by as it is leaving no extra to put towards tuition. I know it’s a big ask, but I have no other options at this point and would be grateful for any help you’re able to give.
