contract-acquisitions
I've been in trucking for a while and have seen the increase in brokerage companies and the decrease in freight rates to the trucking company and owner-operators. These brokers are getting a good and sometimes great rate for the loads and pocketing up to 50% of the money, and this only allows them to get richer and the transportation industry as a whole to get poorer. Companies and warehousing is paying great rates on these contracts and could be paying less if they were able to deal with the transport company directly.
I'm looking to build a company that will have a site dedicated to letting the shippers and manufacturers post upcoming contracts to transportation companies direct and block brokers from being able to get in the middle of this. This will allow the one-man to 10000 truck companies to work on an even playing field and eliminate the middleman altogether. Letting the manufacturer or shipper post these contracts or just loads open will let these drivers and companies bid it directly to them, lowering the cost to transport and increasing the pay to the transported without the extra expense to the shipper for the middle man (a brokerage company).
the ultimate goal is simple
broker has load at 100.00
transport co. paid 50.00
the new way- transport co. Offers shipper 75.00 to make the shipment, transportation company makes 25.00 more; shipper pays 25.00 less, and a gallon of milk doesn't cost 5.00
now granted, this will not close all the brokerage companies, but it will start to make it more profitable for drivers to stay in business and operate, and it will allow company drivers with the dream of starting their own company to get a leg up in the market to bid for work
This money is needed to buy servers, and land, build a building, and hire programmers to develop the platform and security. All these things will cost a lot, and the number listed will almost cover 90% of what is needed, but it is intended to put together the two things at the core of commerce, manufacturing and transportation.
This site will be built with no per-user charges. Companies can add all the users it wants and all the drivers it wants to this site free of charge. We will need to charge something to keep the site up and running, as it will and does require a workforce to keep it up. We will change all the fees and memberships as follows 2.5% of the load booked using the site, nothing more ever to the shipper or transporter. You guys set the price for service, and I only get paid on pod like you at said 2.5% one time per load
In advance, I would like to thank anyone that has taken the time to consider the offer put forth and given it consideration
