Contribute to Jason Thornton's Final Expenses

Donation protected
Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Melissa Thornton. I am the sister of Jason Thornton. On August 4, 2024 our family received tragic news that Jason was found dead in his home. Jason does not appear to have a life insurance policy. Our family has spent the past couple of days reaching out to resource for financial support for Jason's final expenses and to provide him with the funeral arrangements we all believe he deserves, however we have met many roadblocks and found little resources / funds available. Many family and friends have reached out and have offered support and assistance. We have created this Go Fund Me as a way for Jason's family and friends to make memorial contributions that will assist the family with Jason's final expenses. If you would like to make a donation to Jason's final expenses it may be done via this Memorial Fundraiser, or you may reach out to me (Melissa Thornton) for additional ways in which you may be able to make donations. If you are not able to contribute financially to the memorial fund our family welcomes and appreciates any and all prayers.

A little bit about Jason for those who may not have known him well, and a reminder of the great man he was for those who did! Jason was a wonderful, wonderful man! He had a very giving soul and never wanted to see anyone suffer or go without. His smile was so infectious and would light up any room he walked into. Jason loved his family, his friends, and his country! He spent 4 years active duty with the United States Marine Corps, where he spent time fighting for our country overseas. As a Marine Corps vet, Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in smaller group settings - BBQs, fishing, boating, mushroom hunting. He was always working on a project of some kind and loved spending time with his momma! Due to his PTSD, Jason did not enjoy large crowds or loud events. He very much enjoyed more intimate time with those he so dearly loved! Unfortunately, Jason succumbed to his illness on August 4, 2024. He will be so dearly missed by his family and friends. Our family appreciates any and all support during this tragic and difficult time.
