Contribute to Lino's Memorial Bench in Tacoma

9/23/22 NOTE: Thank you everyone for helping us reach our goal of $3K. Wow! We're all so touched by the contributions. The bench is now installed and looks beautiful. We held a dedication and memorial for Lino on 8/25, and we're so grateful that everyone was able to attend.

We will forever love and miss Lino ("LJ"), who was taken far too early from a life he loved and from the people who loved him. To create a place in Tacoma where all his family, friends, and coworkers can honor his memory, we are working with the park system to install a memorial bench. On August 21st, Lino's family, partner, and friends will gather at the Rose Garden of Point Defiance Park to share our love and memories of Lino and enjoy the blooming flowers from the new sitting area.

 

We're welcoming donations of all sizes to contribute to the memorial. Funds will be sent to Lino's mom, Maria Estella, to defray the cost of the bench (in the form of a donation to the park) and other memorial expenses. Contributing is not required to attend.

We know many of Lino's friends in Washington want a chance to grieve, say goodbye, and pay their respects to the family, and we believe this is a good opportunity that also benefits the whole community.
