Jacksonville – Lois Marie Williams Young, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 16, 2024, while surrounded by her family at her home.

The family will receive visitors at Jones Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 on the 20th day of November, 2024.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Cater and Verna Williams; brother, Lamm Williams; sisters, Louise Maready and Lannie Rawls; and daughter, Shirley Marie Noble. She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 40 years, Otis Young; children, Sheldon Kay Smith (Kane Hobbs), Sheila Faye Fisher (Joey), Buddy Brown, Sandy Gaskins (Raymond Banks), Steven Young, and Scott Young; grandchildren, Jeana, Jason, Jody, Jami, Anthony, Lexie, Jordan, Kaley, Dustin, Ashton, Courtney, and Kylie; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lucy Carrington, Ludy Rochelle, and Lucille Smith.
