In Loving Memory of McKayla Harshaw

My name is Melissa Gunther and my husband is Harry Harshaw. On September 27, 2024, our beautiful daughter McKayla Harshaw was killed at 1:34 pm in the fatal 7-car pileup on I-75 south at Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. She would have turned 25 on September 30th. Her boyfriend Andrew Perez was driving the car, and she was in the passenger seat. There was a stalled Pontiac in the middle of the highway. Two large Freightliner trucks driving to Florida to help with the aftermath of Helene crashed into the traffic creating a multi vehicle crash. McKayla's vehicle was crushed, flipped over and pinned between both trucks; she was the only fatality in the accident. McKayla was a beautiful, thriving young woman with her entire life ahead of her. She didn't have life insurance, and we created this Gofundme to help with her funeral expenses and any other unexpected costs during this time of mourning.
