Hi! We're just a family of 4 that love God, love people, and are simply trying help those in need, as God calls us to do, by "packing" essential supplies into "backpacks" (hence the name #Pac-Packs ) and give them to all we can! We have just started this venture and are so excited to continue helping others as much as we can!
We live each day knowing that ✝️ God is our provider, all things are His, and we are simply stewards of what He administers to us which is why we've begun this venture with all of our own resources. We are just a typical, hardworking family which means our monthly tithes into this ministry have a limit. There is however, such a massive need (so many people need the basic essentials we put into Pac-Packs)... so ta-da ✨, this GoFundMe was created!
Any and all of your help, no matter the size, will allow us to "pack" the "backpacks" with as many items as possible. And please understand, all funds donated to this cause are in addition to our personal funds - we will continue to spend the same amount of our personal money as always; your help will just allow more items to be purchased for more people!
Some insight into what we've done so far:
-Purchase drawstring backpacks from Amazon
-Design, cut and attached decals with Jesus on the front of the bag - all glory and attention this bags get goes to Jesus! (Side note: We also decided on backpacks, as those in need greatly require something to carry items in and we want all items we provide them with to be useful!)
-"Packed" the "backpacks" with the following: bathing wipes, compressed towelettes, granola bars, peanut butter sandwich crackers, a small toothbrush and toothpaste, a small bar is soap, a small pack of tissues, two pairs of socks, a comb, a blanket, and MOST important of all, a pocket sized Gospel of John . Although providing the physical items is important, giving each person access to the Word through the Gospel of John, is the most important part of our mission. Feeding their Spirit and bringing them to Christ will provide more than any of the physical items in the backpack!
-Backpacks are loaded in my car and handed out to anyone we see as we're out and about every day!
I honestly scour the internet and stores for the best bulk prices of these items to make the best use of money spent. For example, we were able to add blankets (as mentioned above) to the bags because I found a local auction site with new blankets for sale - I truly search for the best use of the money so it can be stretched as far as possible; the better the price I can find, the more items we can provide!
