Hello our names are Victor and Louise Thomas.
Our Son, Ronnie E. Harvey, has left us to be with the Lord. The word says, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). So, we KNOW that our Son is with God.
Let us tell you a little about who you will be helping today.
Ronnie's Sunrise on December 25, 1964 and Sunset Sunset September 15, 2024. He left to remember him, his Parents; a brother, Ricard Harvey, a slue of family and friends. Ronnie was a soft-spoken, easy-going, gentleman. He loved the Lord and worshipped Him with his whole heart. He attended church on Sunday's and he sang in the choir, sharing his beautiful voice with all who were privileged to be under the sound of it. Ronnie's voice was between the sound of a member of The Temptations or the smooth sound of Smokey Robinson.
Ronnie was generous, and would help anyone who needed his help. He was very particular about how he looked. He grew up at the hands of a Mother who made sure he kept himself well-groomed at all times. Lets' just say sneakers were not nowhere near an every day attire.
Ronnie battled cancer three times. And lets' just say, the third time was NOT a charm. Unfortunately, his 3rd bout with cancer was the fight of a lifetime. And he fought with everything he had in him. Some may say "he lost the battle", but we feel "he won". Ronnie was at war, but he won the battle. Why do we say that? Because Ronnie is definitely with the Lord. In fact, when he was diagnosed the first two times with cancer, Ronnie would go to work (and worked 12 hour days), with chemo attached to him. Now, that's what you call strong, determined, and a fighter.
Ronnie was a hard worker. He managed his bills and household with pride. He married once, but never had children. Ronnie was very close to his two brothers, Ricardo and Robert (deceased). He loves his nieces and nephew with all his heart.
We want to thank you for reading our Son's story, and hope that you were enlightened on WHO you are supporting. We pray, that if you have children, (or children in your life), that you never have to go through this. Ever. Not a day in your life, because we would be lying if we said "this is an easy road to travel". No. Not at all. In fact, it is one of the hardest things we have ever gone through. We hate to share this with you, but within the past 5 years, we've lost two other children prior to Ronnie's passing.
Unfortunately, we were not aware that our Son did not have life insurance. You know how it is... Unfortunately, life insurance is a last thought; never a first thought for most; and often it is too late to acquire. We make no excuses, but this is the fact that we have been left to face. And we are facing it head-on. Since Ronnie has been battling cancer for over 6 years prior to his demise, by the time he tried to get life insurance on himself, it was too late. No insurance company would insure him. So we cannot thank you enough for considering donating to Ronnie's funeral expenses.
Your contribution to our Son's funeral expenses does not go without our most heart-felt appreciation and gratitude. No amount is too small; whatever amount you give is needed and greatly appreciated. We know, whatever the amount, that you are giving to this great cause and reason from your heart.
So thank you a million times.
May God bless you and your family. and keep you in His loving care.
Yours In Good Faith and With The Utmost Appreciation
Love,
Victor and Louise Thomas
