Namaste, I'm Sunaina an initiated Vedic name received from Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj. You may also know me as my birth name Sonja.
For the past 12 months I have been on a road of rehabilitation.
As imagined receiving news like this puts one in a position of mental, financial, physical and emotional strain. With 2 kids remaining, running a business and on the threshold of launching my lifes' purpose on how to understand the nature of relationship dynamics for healing and transformation then, God’s little joke with me, I find out on 1.08, the Holy Number.
This overwhelmingly heavy news left me with two options on my approach to healing the tumour found in my right breast. The medical system took one look at me and recommended that I have my breast removed followed by chemotherapy, radiation and a limited lifestyle that felt constricting and depleting of my values and qualities. The second option was to take an alternative path funding and searching for holistic mechanisms myself. This is the current journey I'm on, which leaves me in India. A place that has a wider and more affordable variety of medicinal treatment. With the time I've been in India I've been eliminating toxins with an Ayurvedic doctor with Pancha Karma treatment. I am now taking the cleanse next level with leech treatment, which yes is exactly what it sounds like. Every second day I am having leeches places on my various organs and meridian points all over my body to remove toxins and reteach my system to cleanse all contaminated cells with fresh space in my body to encourage it to rebuild and renew.
So far my experience has been successful in my vitality, appetite and strength returning, my emotions and mental state clearing and the tumour that feels stabilised. Alongside some help, a healthy diet and the happiness in my heart I feel a higher quality of living and thanks for being lead to natural medicine.
As the treatments continue and my healing journey begun, I continue to work and cover my expenses. Though initially resistant to asking for support because I pride myself on being a fighter who can overcome challenges, I am now seeking help to pursue treatment for Stage 3 breast cancer.
