Help Carter on his long-term journey of recovery.

On October 8th, 2019 Carter was hit by a car while he was riding his bike with a friend in their neighborhood. The accident caused a severe traumatic brain injury. He has been receiving care at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Carter lives in Fairway, KS, with his mother. His father and brothers live out of state, and his mother is managing this on her own. Carter could be looking at lifelong effects from this trauma. The funds raised will be used to help with expenses for the family while they are on the journey of recovery: medical expenses, home healthcare, seizure detection training for the family dog, needed changes in the home to accommodate his needs, educational support, and alternative therapies. Additionally, Sarah may need to be out of work to be able to care for Carter. The family is overwhelmed with appreciation for the thoughts and prayers from our community!
