Conway Half-Marathon in aid of The Florrie

On Sunday 19th November 2024, I am running the Conway Half Marathon in aid of THE FLORENCE INSTITUTE TRUST LIMITED aka "The Florrie" and every donation will help.

The Florrie is a charity at the heart of Liverpool 8. Its stunning, Grade II listed, Victorian community heritage venue is a social & educational hub for the people of south Liverpool.

Open Monday to Friday, they offer a wide variety of participatory activities for people of all ages, multi-purpose event spaces available for hire and fully inclusive workspaces for small local businesses & charities. They are also home to The Florrie Food Union; a new initiative aimed at combating food poverty in Liverpool.

The Florrie offers 40 hours of timetabled activities and classes that engage, empower and support the local community with themes of arts & music, education & training and health & wellbeing; all free of charge.

Due to insufficient grant funds and unforeseen repairs to their grade II listed Victorian building; these community hub activities are sadly at risk.
