#CookieStrong: Kicking Cancers Butt!
Donation protected
Cancer is a word that no one wants to hear. 3 years ago my brother, Scott
was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. We were devastated, but kept faith that the Lord would give us strength, and help us fight the “C” word. Our prayers were answered, and Scott beat cancer!!!
A few months ago we received the results from Scott's bone biopsyit came back as cancer again. This time it is Stage 4 Squamous Cell carcinoma of the nasopharynx . It has appeared in his nasal cavities and has also metastasized to his shoulder bone.
He has started an aggressive treatment of radiation and chemotherapy at the same time at Duke in Raleigh, NC.
It’s about a 2 and a half hour drive round trip everyday. He has to have around 30 treatments and still have over 20 treatments left.
With Scott having to miss work for these exhausting treatments back and forth everyday the cost is quickly adding up. He is normally to weak and tired to do anything other than lay in bed. His amazing wife, Jennifer who has been by his side as much as humanly possible takes him everyday so she has to miss more work than normal as well. All these cost are quickly adding up and money is much tighter than ever before.
We are trying to help my brother and his family

raise money to help with all the missed work, cost of travel to Raleigh back and forth every day and money needed for bills and other necessities of life.
Ideally it would be a blessing to raise enough money to help them with transportation costs to and from Duke, as well as treatment expenditures not covered by insurance. With no money from missed work coming in, they need more help than ever. Plus, by the time he gets disability it will be December and he plans on being back at work by then Lord willing. So it will not help him when it’s needed most.
If you could donate anything at all to help with travel, bills, or food due to missed work we would be forever grateful.
If you are unable to donate as we know times are tough for lots of people, could you please share this fundraiser so we can reach as many people as possible.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support during this very difficult time.
Thank you everyone who has donated in the past, shared or prayed thus far. Please continue to do so if you can.
God Bless from all of our family to yours.
