Cooper Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends. We are Beth and Greg Funk and we are asking for monetary donations on behalf of Jessica (Jessie) and Brad Shirk. #teamcaptaincoopman

On March 1st, 2023 Jessie and Brads son, Cooper, was admitted to Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. After a series of tests it was determined that 10 year old Cooper had a cancerous tumor in his abdomen.

A biopsy was conducted and it has been determined that the tumor is too large for immediate surgical removal. The tumor will need to be reduced in size before removal due to the position of the tumor as it is likely intertwined within organs and connective tissues.

On March 3rd, 2023 the biopsy resulted determined that Cooper has rhabdomyosarcoma. The plan for recovery is still being planned with the expert staff and doctors at Children’s Hospital. Cooper will remain in the hospital as of now. We will continue to provide updates as we see fit.

Please share this fundraiser with your family and friends as you see fit. Brad and Jessie are currently rotating to be with Cooper at the hospital. Visitors are limited to immediate family and grandparents. Please use this website to receive updates on Coopers condition so we can all avoid overwhelming Brad and Jessie with questions they may not have answers to.

About Cooper:

Cooper is an older brother to Charlie. He plays soccer and basketball and attends 4th grade at Bloom Carroll Schools, Carroll Ohio.

When Cooper grows up he wants to be a YouTube digital creator. He also enjoys fishing, gaming, building legos and playing outside.
