What a mess!! Sifting through mucky ash covered everything Gross to say the least!! Looking for any last bit of our life we can salvage. Glad we are almost done going through everything so we can move on to tearing the house down and removing all the garbage.  Still don't know how we are going to get it all done.  We are running out of time and don't have the $$ to hire any help pay for dumpsters etc... we are just getting as much done as humanly possible each day.  We are exhausted in every possible way. Finally able to go through the house and try to salvage some things. The damage is so much worse than I thought it was. I hoped to save many things however in reality I have lost nearly everything! We are exhausted both mentally and physically however staying positive and praying for a miracle. I am currently living in a 5th wheeler on the property however the County will only allow this for 3 months!! While are are extremely grateful to every doner, every person who has shared our campaign, and to those reaching out with moral and spiritual support . . . we are still in need of help! The cost of buying and setting up the 5th wheeler was over $7,000 that we didn't have. Bills are piling up .. unfortunately the house may be gone but the bills just keep coming~ We are doing our ultimate best to move forward. 6/1  ***REALITY*** I am so humbled. I fully understand now how people become homeless after things like a house fire. You go from meeting your bills every month with little to spare to being forced to try and live far beyond your means. And PLEASE homeowners, if your policy was written before 2005 CHECK IT! Sadly ours was written in 1984 we carried over from the previous owner. NEVER ASSUME policies are automatically updated :( Ours did not cover Contents, Out buildings, clean up, Temp living expenses, or the cost of replacing a home!! It covered so little in fact we only had 8 payments left on our mortgage .. after the deductible it barely covered what we still owe. Sadly places like ARC, FEMA, SALVATION ARMY, UNICEF, HTH etc are set up to help victims of Hurricanes, Tornados, earthquakes etc,, not house fires. Some do offer services when extra funds are available, however due to the alarming number of tornadoes across the midstates there is no help for us. I pray for all the victims in the midstates.. at least my community is still standing and no lives were lost so I feel blessed in this way. It is agonizing feeling like we have to beg family, friends and even strangers for help. And here I am doing just that. PLEASE if you can find it in your heart to help.. every penny is greatly appreciated. Mother’s Day 5/12/19  would be the last night we would spend in our home of 21 years. 

I am so lost about how to post this. Creating a GoFundMe for myself is as hard as it was watching my house burn!! 

It took me 2 days to figure out what to ask for as I do not expect anyone to rebuild my entire house, I am asking only for what we need right away to begin the process of rebuilding our lives.  American Red Cross was so nice, they gave us a $545 gift card and resource to a food bank a gift with some toiletries and some self help literature (what to expect and steps to take to get back on our feet).  I appreciate the ARC so much!! They really do understand what we are facing and I am following through with all their advice including being here on this GoFundme page. 

Money is needed to begin the process of rebuilding our life. Insurance was poorly written and we like many others live month to month.  The Loss and Devastation has forced us to stay in a hotel that costs way beyond our means. Bills are piling up with no hope in site for a new home or even an old home for that matter. We have lost nearly everything. Please Pray for us!! AND PLEASE share this post..  If I weren't truly in a desperate situation, I would not be asking for help.  This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life.  We are homeless at best we may be able to get out of this hotel and live in a tiny 5th wheeler while we figure out where to go. The County said even once we have power and are in the 5th wheeler on our land we will have 3 months to get a house started or a more perminant structure on the property!! This is terrifying we do not have the money to do this!
