Cooper Miller share the Gospel to Alaska

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this letter finds you well!

I am excited to share some big news with you. This summer, God has called me to serve in my very first mission trip to Alaska with GraceWorks Alaska, and I couldn’t be more humbled or excited.

I will be spending days doing park ministry, sharing the Gospel with children and their families. The need in Alaska is both powerful and heart-wrenching. Many children arrive at the parks without any adult supervision some as young as three years old, walking alone across busy streets just to be part of something positive. Gangs often target these same children, offering attention that is missing from home. This is why our presence and our purpose there are so urgent.

You might wonder, “Why Alaska, when there’s so much need right here?” It’s a great question and one we’ve asked ourselves. But God’s Word in Mark 16:15 clearly says:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Alaska is the least churched state in the U.S. Unlike here in the lower 48, where churches are found on nearly every corner, many areas in Alaska have very few, if any, Christian influences. The rates of depression, addiction, abuse, and suicide are heartbreaking. And yet, there is hope—because Jesus changes everything, and we are honored to carry that message of light and life to those who need it most.

We’ll be in Alaska from July 13–19, and we are writing today to ask for your prayer support. We know the spiritual warfare will be real, and we need as much prayer covering as possible. Please pray for our team’s safety, for boldness, for open hearts among the people we meet, and for the presence of the Holy Spirit in all we do.

The cost of the trip is $1,795 per person (which includes $1,095 for airfare). If you feel led to support us financially, I would be truly honored. We believe God will provide, and it’s always such a joy to see how He uses people—some to “go,” and others to “give”—as part of His plan.
