More About Cooper's Life
Cooper Storm Wrobel, 23, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away on October 8, 2024. He was born on November 4, 2000, in Akron, Ohio to Bernard John Wrobel Jr. and Kelle (Sarnowski) Wrobel.

Cooper graduated from Wadsworth High School in 2019. Throughout his youth and school years he played many sports, youth baseball, football, wrestling, bowling. Cooper bowled in the TNBA for nine years and was a Division I Central Regional Champion. His high school years he lettered in on the Varsity Golf team and 4-year Varsity Bowling team. Cooper was an integral part of the Grizzlies’ historic run to a fourth-place finish at the 2018 D-I state tournament, where he rolled a 586 series (220-215-151). This was the first ever State appearance for the Wadsworth Grizzlies.

He was a Four-time All Gazette honoree and one of only two two-time Gazette MVPs in county history after winning the award in 2018 and 2019. He was the first consecutive year honoree.

Cooper was an avid golfer and was a member of the PGA of America. He was actively working on his degree through the PGA Professional Golf Management program which required him to pass a player aptitude test in various qualified golf events. He was an associate of the Southwest PGA section through the Prescott Golf Club in Prescott, AZ where he was the Assistant Golf Pro and mentored by Greg Adams. Cooper came back to Ohio and became a member of the Northern Ohio PGA Section and worked at the Westfield Country Club as an Assistant Golf Pro. He then moved on to the role of Assistant Golf Pro at the Country Club of Hudson. Although he was only at each for a short time, he made many friends and had special relationships with his colleagues there. Cooper then shifted gears to once again work alongside his mentor Greg Adams and Greg’s wife, Jodi, as a Territory Sales Rep for Tail Activewear. Cooper considered the Adams family.

Cooper had many other hobbies which included fishing, weightlifting, marathon running, and he had an impeccable taste for a good Bourbon/Whiskey and cigar. Cooper was a talented woodworker and a member of the Buckeye Woodworkers & Woodturners. He could turn a block of wood into an amazing piece of art. He could also sit and whittle away leaving wood shavings everywhere much to his mother’s dismay.

He was a member of the Barberton Moose where his father and he were part of the golf league. He made many friends there and enjoyed spending time there with his father and other members.

Cooper shared a strong bond with all of his siblings. He had a special bond and relationship with each of them individually and together that was filled with humor, competition, and the deepest depth of love.

Cooper came in with a storm and he lived his life that way. He was always moving and grooving and on some kind of mission or adventure. Once you met Cooper, you were a forever friend. He left a huge impression on everyone he crossed paths with, and it was impossible to not remember him. He had a spark that you could just not deny. He had so many accomplishments and awards and adventures for his just short of 24 years, it would take pages to list. He did all these things in a way that was never arrogant other than in the typical young man boasting, as he had such a level of respect for everyone and was always rooting for and mentoring the underdogs.

He is survived by his loving father, Bernard John Jr. (Laura) Wrobel; mother, Kelle (Sarnowski) Wrobel; siblings, Jessica (Bobby) Johnson, Drew (Renee) Wrobel, and Austin Wrobel, grandparents, Bernard John Wrobel Sr, Conrad (Janine) Sarnowski; great- grandmother, Dorothy Bowles; nieces, Evie Mars, Audrey Gray, Elizabeth Gray, nephew Matthew Gray; cousins, Katie(Greg), Maddie, Sara, Tyler, Lauren, Albert; aunts, Anne Marie and Liz; uncles, Andrew, Brion, Eric (Anne), Michael; special mentor & friend Jason Aberegg, and a host of close friends.
