Copper Valley Vue Glanmire Flood Support
Donation protected
On October 18th 2023 Copper Valley Vue, Glanmire, Cork was flooded for the second significant time in 7 years destroying 21 homes and impacting many others in the area. This is an emergency situation.
The aim is to raise funds for the protection of these homes, in the short term, as residents are currently living in fear of another flood while trying to rebuild their homes. Long term plans are being worked on with the council but these homes need immediate support to strengthen defences and feel safe again. A committee has been set up to develop short and medium term goals and these funds will go directly to achieving these goals.
I, Ronan Dempsey, am a resident of Copper Valley Vue whose home was flooded. For clarity these funds will be withdrawn to my personal account then transferred in their entirety to the bank account set up by Copper Valley Vue residents committee. The funds will then be used by the committee to defend the area from further flooding.
Thank you in advance for your support.
