Cora Hartshorn Arboretum StoryWalk

Hi Everyone!

My name is Matthew Dooley, and I am a 17-year-old Life Scout from Troop 17 Short Hills. I am pursuing my Eagle Scout service project after six years of involvement with the Troop.

I am partnering with the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum, a local woodlands garden with a strong emphasis on environmental education. Because the arboretum has become a popular hiking spot for families with young children, I plan to build a StoryWalk for the trails. This will allow visitors to read books and learn seasonal nature facts while enjoying the great outdoors, ultimately improving the arboretum's educational outreach to our community.

The funds raised will go towards purchasing the materials and supplies to build the StoryWalk posts, and any excess will be donated to the arboretum in the form of new children's books.
