Corey Krier medical expenses
Donation protected
On August 17th, Corey Krier, a husband and a father of three, suffered a severe heart attack. Shortly after arriving at the ER, Corey was diagnosed with what the doctor referred to as a STEMI. A STEMI (ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction) is the most severe type of heart attack. An artery in Corey’s heart was completely blocked and he needed surgery right away. Within minutes of his diagnoses the staff at SCHospital worked on getting a flight for life plane en route to transfer Corey to another hospital 3 hours away so that he could have his life saving surgery. Around 1 am Friday morning Corey and his wife Nikki landed in Hays Ks with the eagle med team and were transferred by ambulance to the Hays Medical Center. Once there, the Doctors quickly got to work on Corey’s heart and successfully placed 4 stents. Corey was released from the hospital on August 20th and has made great strides in his recovery. As Corey continues to heal from his surgery, he and his family are now facing a “new normal” way of life. Corey will need cardiology therapy 3 times a week for one month, he will need to visit his cardiologist once a month for a year, he will have to see the Doctor that performed his surgery in Hays once every 6 months for at least a year and his local doctor once a week for a month. With the appointments he will also have dietary restrictions, weight lifting restrictions and medication.
We are so thankful that Corey is still here with his family, and as they navigate their new normal, the medical bills are beginning to pour in. Any donation, big or small is greatly appreciated. All money raised will go to Corey’s medical bills and medication. Even if you are not able to donate financially, we ask that you keep this family in your prayers. ❤️
The Krier family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring love, prayers, messages, phone calls, meals, and other acts of love that have been shown to them during this time.
We want to give a HUGE Thank You to Bret and Robyn Kendrick, the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Stanton County Hospital and Hays Medical Center, the EMS staff from Johnson and Hays, and the Eagle Med flight staff in the work they did to save Corey’s life.
Thank You and God Bless….. ❤️
