In memory of my Dad, Paudie Palmer.Cork University Hospital

Hello all, I hope this finds you all well.

My work collogues in Blackrock Dental in Blackrock Co. Dublin and i will be participating in Hell and Back on June 8th. They have kindly suggested that we do it in memory of my fabulous Dad, Paudie Palmer who passed away January 8th 2022 after a terrible hit and run accident just 500metres from our family house.

Dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma back in March 2019. The Dunmanway Day Unit soon became a second home for him and got the best of care while under going treatment. Fast Forward to the accident. The A&E and ICU departments again gave him the best care and i truly believe their time and dedication to their profession and to that of their patients in each of these departments in the CUH go unnoticed on a daily basis until you and/or a family member is a patient there.

Although Dad lost his battle to such horrific injuries, he loved giving back to the community and this is my way to continue the tradition.

I want to thank all here in Blackrock Dental who have supported me through these difficult 18months. You all have been rocks for me.
