The hardest thing in life is trying to make it on one's own.

Asking for financial assistance is harder, especially when you know that everyone is struggling to get by in today's unsteady economic madness.

Corky fell off the bed and the vet requires $$$ to x-ray and make sure his limp is nothing serious. I have destroyed all credit cards after they asked for a yearly $50 fee and therefore I have no other choice than to pay in cash for any cost of this nature.

Raquel, my car, suffered damages during hurricane Ian, and after trying to save for the $1000 deductible, I have been unsuccessful in meeting my goal.

Along the way, I had unexpected expenses for a new heater, a computer and mechanical car repair (total of about $3K) because they all died. These expenses depleted my emergency funds.

January is going to be another financial nightmare with quarterly bills for HOA fees, car insurance, homeowners insurance, property taxes, with regular payments for credit debts and necessities (electricity, phone, internet, food, etc).

I have been forced to cut back on my personal needs: haircut, mani/pedi, massage (for my constant back pain), no gummies (my depression savers) and limitations on how many times I can go out for a nice dinner or use my car (gas prices are insane, again).

I have been searching for a part-time job, but most offers are in retail, which isn't feasible for me due to my back!

I know it's the beginning of the holidays and totally understand that we are all are facing financial setbacks. I am asking that only give, if you can afford to.
