Cornwall Eventing Academy

Cornwall Eventing Academy is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) No 15537964.

It was created to facilitate training, and support anyone wanting to compete in the sport of Equestrian Eventing in Cornwall.

Due to Cornwall geographic location anyone wishing to compete must travel miles to attend events and receive training from world class elite trainers which is both time consuming and expensive. This often makes it unachievable which we don't think is fair!

For individuals or even clubs to organise top trainers to travel to Cornwall to teach they must not only have enough support to pay for the trainers time, but also to cover their travel expenses and accommodation, making it often impossible.

To truly benefit from great coaching it is necessary to have regular lessons and a plan to work to, which is difficult if your coach does not live nearby. Therefore we offer regular monthly training using the same amazing coaches to anyone, without prejudice or membership.

So how do we do this?

We are trying to create a community of Clubs, Riders, Venues, businesses and enthusiasts so that we can work together to help support each other.

We are non profit making, so anything we do make is reinvested into our training to help subsidise costs, purchase equipment such as Arena XC fences, offer refreshments or support our community the best we can.

What if you don't have a horse or pony to ride?

We know that horse riding is an expensive sport that is not available to everyone. Therefore we save £1 from every lesson booked with us to help pay for less fortunate children in Cornwall to experience the benefits of horsemanship.

What if I don't ride?

That's ok, you are still welcome to attend our events, enjoy the refreshments and atmosphere. Everyone is welcome.

The idea of this CIC was created by myself, Hayley Carter. I was medically retired from the Police due to severe depression and PTSD. I know first hand how healing time spent with horses is, and the importance of having a likeminded community around you. Therefore we believe that it is important to to come together and support each other with the opportunity to meet regularly, which we hope we do.

We are a great bunch of equestrians, living in a beautiful rural county with brilliant, talented riders. So lets show the rest of the UK what we can do!

Any donations to Cornwall Eventing Academy will go towards the purchase of equipment namely fences, providing free refreshments at our events as well as the organising and creation of social events such as our Winter Ball.

So who will buy me a coffee? That's all I'm asking for. £3.50 from each of our Facebook followers alone would generate enough money to offer reduced rate subsidised training every month for a year.

So just think what a little more could do!
