Help Cornwall resist the Bibby Stockholm and future refugee prison ships! Help Kernow resist border violence!

The Bibby Stockholm is currently in Falmouth, Cornwall, being "refitted" in order to imprison refugees in accommodation the size of parking spaces. The boat represents the hostile, fascist and illegal approach this government is taking towards vulnerable people; people who have risked everything to flee war and persecution only to be imprisoned and re-traumatised by the UK state.

This floating human rights violation has been imposed on us and we will not be complicit! Cornwall is resisting! There has been a massive swell of protest and grassroots groups uniting in our opposition. We've made it clear that we will not be passive while one of our towns is used to perpetrate racist border violence. And we've shouted loudly that refugees are welcome here.

But we want and need to do more than shouting. Our resistance needs to be bigger and better on both land and on sea - and this costs money!!

It’s also unlikely that this will be the last such ship to be refurbished in Falmouth. The government has indicated that there are other floating prisons that are likely to arrive in the near future. We're planning a sustained campaign to ensure that the UK state regrets its decision to ever send these vessels to our community in Kernow!
