Cornwall Scrubs & masks Group
Donation protected
Right now there is a shortage of PPE for our wonderful NHS, Care and Social work teams here in Cornwall, and this is being compounded by many staff member that don't normally need to wear scrubs now needing to.
In line with efforts that are happening nationwide, we, a team of volunteers here in Cornwall and try to easy this shortage by making face masks and scrubs for those that need them during this crisis.
As we speak, our team of volunteers are making face masks and or scrubs for GPs, Ambulance workers, care home staff, community midwives and many more groups.
Up until this point we have been able to do this with material we already own, some donated by a national fund of curtain fabric traders and donations from a couple of local fabric businesses that are closed at this time (Linterior design, Wadebridge and one in Falmouth). But we need more fabric, thread, elastic, cord and ribbon, and the ability to get it to our army of volunteers safely.
All our volunteers are donating their time for free and not a penny is being charge by our group to any healthcare professionals for these products, but to keep going we need to buy more raw materials and get these to our volunteers and get the finished items to the healthcare professionals that desperately need them.
Please support us, supporting them.
Many thanks, Mish and Lindsay and the whole squad at Cornwall scrubs/masks group ( Helping Gp’s, NHS, Care Workers), 142 at last count! xx
