Help fund Cornish solidarity with Palestine!

Over the last ten weeks, Cornwall has stood in solidarity with Palestine. Starting in Falmouth, protests have grown across the region, with demos in Penzance, Newquay, Truro and Bude. During these protests, and other outreach and fundraising events, we have raised over £2200 for Medical Aid for Palestine. It has been important to us that we raise money directly for Palestinian people needing urgent assistance than our group.

This is still the case. So, if you’re reading this, and can only make one donation, please ignore this, leave this page, and head to MAP and donate to them.

However, if you can afford to also donate to us, we have now created this fundraiser. Because the reality is these protests cost money. Cornwall Resists provided some initial funding, but this has now run out, and we’ve been relying on the generosity of a few people to pay for things but this is a very limited source of income!

Israel is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Whatever we do will never be enough faced with the horrific events in Palestine. But Cornwall has stepped up. Cornwall has shown we won’t be silent. Cornwall has said it loudly and clearly that we will hold our government, and our MPs to account, and that we will challenge the UK arms industry profiting from war crimes. And we know from Palestinian friends that our solidarity does make a difference.

As Israel’s bombardment and invasion continues, the atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank are fading from the news headlines. But they are not fading for us. We will continue our weekly protests, and continue our resistance. So if you can, please donate and show that Cornwall stands with Palestine.
