I have decided to include in this 40min long solo piano program, pieces that are not focused so much on a big volume of showy and intense pianistic virtuosity of the standard or modern piano repertoire but on pieces that are more atmospheric, sensual and emotional, mixing well known (Satie, Mompou) composers with new music (Holtje, Coleman) living composers. So, in this program after "Bulgarian Prelude" some of my long term fans will see a different side of me :) This particular program is accessible, inspiring and engaging, each piece to me has light, inspiration and passion for life - something so many of us need today during the challenging times we are going through with covid19. While to me Satie's GnossienneNo. 4 is a bit more mysterious and Mompou's "Secreto" a bit wondering and melancholic, those contracts and emotions really blend with the idea of searching for the positive and each composer masterfully bring us through a journey of musical moods and colors that inspire. In my interpretation, this is what I am aiming for: putting together a program that brings positive energy and light. The word "corona" in Bulgarian (Bulgaria is where I am from ) means a crown. It is actually a beautiful word - royal and impressive. I hope by charging myself with love and light, through the beautiful music Satie, Mompou, Coleman and Holtje wrote, to be able to give a gift of light to you to take home and share with others.
This concert is completely free and donations are optional and very much appreciated if you are in a position to help. Corona Concert Series asked me to create this GoFundMe page so that way all donations can go 100% to me. They do not take anything. I appreciate very much their time to present me, as well as their encouragement to find courage in myself to ask for your support during this difficult time and all the challenges I have been facing. If you would like to learn more about me and my music, you can check out my official web site: www.TaniaStavreva.com and check out my YouTube channel and social media. My Billboard Top 10 album Rhythmic Movement is available on sale at www.TaniaStavreva.com/Shop
Feel free to share this GoFundMe page with any friends who support the arts and social networks. May you all be safe, protected, secure, healthy and strong! I look forward to performing through the live stream on May 15, 2020, see you then!
With love and light,
Tania
