Corona Virus Relief for Ultra Body Fitness

Hi there, my name is Tony Wisniewski, I am the founder of Ultra Body Fitness in West Hollywood, CA and I need some help saving my business.

We might not look like it, but at heart, Ultra Body is just a mom-and-pop neighborhood gym. My wife and I opened Ultra Body in 1999 on La Brea in WeHo to specifically serve LA's professionally certified independent personal trainers by providing them and their clients with a spacious well-equipped state-of-the-art gym where they can focus on the business of strength and fitness.

The COVID pandemic has left us in a tough spot. When the City of Los Angeles and the State of California shut everything down in March 2020, we were effectively put out of business for 2 years but our bills and obligation to pay them didn't stop. When we were allowed to reopen we had to face the harsh reality that many people were just not ready to return to the gym. As of this writing, we have regained some of our pre-pandemic business and it continues to slowly improve but not fast enough for us to feel confident about meeting our obligations to repay SBA and other loans, perform maintenance and upgrades, etc.

Unlike larger commercial gyms, access to Ultra Body has always been restricted to fully vetted certified and insured personal trainers and their clients. These folks are legitimate professionals. These trainers do not work for us. They are truly independent and come to our facility to use the tools they need to ply their trade. We do not sell annual or monthly memberships (yet) to the general public or offer day passes or drop-ins. We exist solely to serve the needs of properly credentialed professional trainers and their clients. All professionals deserve a well-equipped workspace free from distractions and interruptions and Ultra Body has been able to provide that in Los Angeles for a quarter of a century.

We are trying to raise enough money to help us survive long enough to rebuild the business. We are still 100% fully committed to being here and as other gyms in the area close down, we realize that affordable large, well-stocked fitness spaces like ours are becoming increasingly rare in LA, which only strengthens our resolve and deepens our desire to survive.
