Help me feed people, again in Riviera Maya Mexico

My name is Todd Essick; Over the past three years, I have dedicated myself to human and environmental causes, including raising funds to feed the people of Riviera Maya, Mexico, through the pandemic lockdown and after.

Please help me get cooking….. again.

In these turbulent economic times, the people in Riviera Maya, Mexico, are experiencing food insecurity. I am, once again, making every effort to assist them in their time of need.

By supporting this effort, you are making food/care packages available to families; especially those in Los Torres, through Father Hubert at Holy Cross Parish in Play del Carmen

You also provide the funding to staff and supply Father Patrick's soup kitchen at Sacred Heart Church in Play del Carmen; once again, you bring hope and ease to those in dire need.

Along with many volunteers, I am trying to ensure families, especially children, have access to the healthy foods they require.

About me, I am a photographer with a lifetime of volunteerism. With varied careers, highlighted as a photojournalist and an underwater fine art photographer, and bring experiences in helping causes from around the world. I came to Riviera Maya just before the pandemic arrived. During the lockdown, I needed "to do something to help." Along with my friend and scuba dive buddy, Father Hubert, we delivered food packages to many suffering from food insecurity. I started “Chili macaroni night” at Father Patrick’s church, cooking and feeding hundreds of people every Wednesday. As the need grew, I established regular fundraising campaigns and was able to cook and make packages for many families for over a year and a half. As life returned to the “new normal,” I stopped to help establish a 501c3 public charity/foundation, funding shark conservation projects worldwide. As prices rise, people are experiencing food insecurity again, and I am back to helping Riviera Maya again.
